Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We keep this to a minimum: by default this site sets a single record of your cookie choice, stored in your browser's local storage, and nothing else.
We use Fathom Analytics (usefathom.com) for website statistics. Fathom sets no cookies and uses no similar tracking technology. It counts page views, referring sites, device types and countries using a site-specific, hashed visitor signature, so it cannot identify you personally or follow you across other websites. The standard request data your browser sends with any visit (IP address and browser string) is anonymised on arrival, and the identifiers Fathom stores are kept in pseudo-anonymised form for around 48 hours. Embedded videos are served from YouTube's no-cookie domain and request nothing until you press play.
Our newsletter sign-up is processed on our server and sent to Mailchimp, which handles the confirmation email. That form sets no cookies on this site.
